After sitting in rezoning for ten years, Kerkhoff acquired the land and chose Formosis to develop the 270 Riverside project into apartments on an accelerated schedule.

The success of this project centred on our ability to work at pace, adapting to constraints as they arose, finding design alternatives to building size, early development permit and tendering deadlines, and a site constrained by poor soils and restrictive rezoning allowances.

Sokana was an example of a highly collaborative project, and through the process built extremely strong relationships with the Kerkhoff team, and a range of excellent consultants from vDZ landcape, Kor structural, Williams Engineering, Nemetz electrical, McElhanney civil and Camphora code consulting.
