Project Overview

Nestled at one of Canada’s most bustling land border crossings, the new border facility stands as a transparent and welcoming gateway to the country. This cutting-edge establishment is designed to balance the intricate demands of security with a sense of openness and public accessibility. The facility’s sophisticated security program is thoroughly organized to ensure that while stringent security measures are upheld, the building remains inviting and inclusive to the public.

  • Achieving LEED Gold Certification, the Peace Arch Border Crossing exemplifies cutting-edge sustainability and forward-thinking design. It incorporates a range of advanced eco-friendly systems, most notably an extensive photovoltaic array seamlessly integrated into the primary inspection canopy. As well as enhancing energy efficiency, it also underscores the facility’s commitment to renewable energy. Additionally, the grand public atrium is a marvel of natural ventilation, providing a fresh and airy environment that enhances the visitor experience.

The design of the border facility is a testament to modern architectural ingenuity, blending functionality with environmental responsibility. It serves as a model for future infrastructure projects, demonstrating how security, sustainability, and public engagement can harmoniously coexist.
